Airbnb’s platform is designed to be straightforward, and signing in as an owner is no exception. Your owner login is the first step toward turning your property into a source of income. Let’s walk through how to set up your Airbnb account and make the most of it.

How to create an Airbnb account?

Step 1: Go to airbnb.com.

Step 2: Click on the grey and white icon on the top right-hand corner of the page.

Step 3: Select “Sign up” from the drop-down.

Step 4: Click on “Continue with email”

Step 5: Type in your email address and click on the “Continue” button.

Step 6: Fill in your first name, last name, birthdate, and then choose a password.

Note that your name must match the name on your government ID.
Password must be at least 8 characters long, can’t contain your name or email address, and must contain a number or symbol.

Step 7: Read the Terms of Service, Payments Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Nondiscrimination Policy if you want to.

You can check the box at the bottom if you don’t want to receive any promotional email from Airbnb.
And then click on “Agree and continue”.

Step 8: A pop-up window about the Airbnb Community Commitment will appear, click on “Agree and continue” again to say you agree to these terms.

Step 9: Now set up your profile.

Setting up your Airbnb profile:

Step 1: Basic details

Select your country/region.
Type in your contact number (Or if you’d rather not, select “I’ll do this later”)
Click continue

Step 2: Upload a photo

Add your profile photo.
You can opt to “Upload a photo” or “Use Facebook photo” (Or if you’d rather not select “I’ll do this later”)
Click continue

Step 3: Confirm your contact details

To confirm your email address, go to your email inbox
You will find an email from Airbnb (automated@airbnb.com)
Open it and click the “Confirm Email” button

And that’s it! Now you are all set to start using Airbnb!

We can’t stress enough how user-friendly the Airbnb website is. The Airbnb owner login process is just as easy as accessing anything else on the site. It is important to know how to access your account in order to make money out of Airbnb

Step 1: Go to the Airbnb login page

Step 2: Log in to your Airbnb account through one of the options listed below:

Your phone number
Your Facebook account
Your Google account
Your Apple account
Your Email address

Step 3: if you are using your own personal machine click the “Remember me” box so you won't have to go about the process of logging in every time you want to access your profile

What to do if you forgot your Airbnb Account password.

Hosting on Airbnb is not an easy task and if in the course of everything else involved in hosting you forgot your account password follow the steps below to reset your password.

Step 1: Click on the “Forgot password?” link located under the password field.

You will be redirected to the “Reset password” page.

Step 2: Enter the email address associated with your account so that Airbnb can send you the reset link.

Step 3: Click on the “Send reset link” button

Step 4: Open your email inbox. You should have received an email from automated@airbnb.com, open it.

Step 5: Click on the “Reset your password” button. It will take you to the “Update Password” page.

Step 6: Enter your new password in the first field and re-enter it in the second field.

Note: Password must include at least one symbol or a number and have at least 8 characters.

Step 7: Click on the “Update” button.

Things to remember about the reset link email:

Airbnb’s reset links have a time limit and can only be used once.
If you clicked the “Send reset link” several times, you’ll only be able to use the most recent email.
If the link is always expired before you open it, try disabling your email service’s link preview or mail scanner feature and it should work just fine.

Logging into your Airbnb account is as easy as signing into any other platform or even your email account. Every now and then though users can run into difficulties.

Here are some tips to overcome common Airbnb login issues:

Always log in using the same email linked to your Airbnb profile.
Don’t create a duplicate account just because you forgot your password or ran into an issue with login. Duplicate accounts confuses Airbnb’s system and payout setup.
Use Airbnb’s “Forgot Password” link for resets — don’t try to bypass the official process.
Store credentials securely in a password manager.

Never share login details with anyone. A bad actor with your login details can lock you out of your own account.
Use a password of at least 8 characters with numbers, letters and special symbols.
Avoid obvious words, your name, birthdays or email fragments.
Use a different password than your social media accounts.

Refrain from using easy passwords.

Always follow good security procedures and use a difficult password so that it can’t be copied. You don’t want the data you are providing to Airbnb to be accessed by anyone else.
As a rule, Airbnb does not allow you to use parts of your name or email address in your password so generate a distinct password for your account.
Your password should be a minimum of 8 characters and have a mix of numbers, letters, and special characters.
Do not use common and obvious words or phrases as a part of your password.
Use a password manager to store your passwords. This helps you create unique passwords without having the fear of forgetting them

Changing your Airbnb password

If you want to change your Airbnb password, follow these steps:

Log in to your Airbnb account.
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select Account and then click Login & Security.
Click Update next to “Password.”
Enter your current password, then the new password twice.
Click Update password.

Tip: Password must include at least 8 characters, a mix of letters, numbers and symbols.

Other ways to make sure your Airbnb account is secure

The first step to ensuring a secure account is to create a secure password. Once that is done there are a few other steps that can be taken for additional security.

If you are logging in to your Airbnb through a link via email or a different source, always check if the URL is correctly spelled. It should always be https://www.airbnb.com. Do not enter your login details even if there is a minor spelling error in the URL as it can direct you to a fake page where your login credentials can be stolen and your profile compromised.
Invest in a decent anti-virus software – most are affordable and worth every penny spent!
Keep your devices updated with new security protections.
