The team chose Hostaway with Spanish operations in mind, especially the police guest-reporting integration.
The unified inbox keeps guest conversations from every channel in one place and has been the standout feature.
The team found Hostaway’s integrations useful and the platform straightforward to set up and use.
For the team behind SunnyCoast HomeStays, good holiday rental management comes down to communication. They learned that in Orlando, Florida, where they managed up to 150 holiday rentals on a different property management system.
At that scale, every booking sets a lot of people in motion. Guests need answers before and during their stay. Owners want to know how their homes are doing. The people cleaning and maintaining each property need to know what’s happening and when. All of it depends on the right information reaching the right person at the right time, and the team saw firsthand how much clear communication and reliable coordination matter.
When the team relocated to Spain, they brought that lesson with them. They founded SunnyCoast HomeStays, operated by SunnyCoast Homes SL, and set up their base in Mijas. Today the company offers full holiday rental management to owners along the Costa del Sol, from Torremolinos to Marbella, and works with owners and guests in both English and Spanish.
Moving to Spain didn’t change the standards the team held themselves to, but it did change the rules they had to work within. Holiday rentals in Spain come with their own requirements, so for this next chapter the team needed a property management system that fit the local market as well as their own way of working. They chose Hostaway.

Guest reporting was one of the main reasons. In Spain, holiday rental operators have to report guest details to the authorities, so when the team was choosing a system for their new business, Hostaway’s police guest-reporting integration helped tip the scales.
“We initially chose Hostaway with our Spanish operations in mind, particularly the police guest-reporting integration,” says Alex Dolipschi of SunnyCoast HomeStays.
Once SunnyCoast HomeStays was up and running, the unified inbox became the feature the team leaned on most. Guest conversations from every booking channel land in one place, which makes everyday communication easier to manage for a team that works with guests in two languages.
The team was also impressed by Hostaway’s integrations and by how straightforward the platform was to set up and use. For a business finding its feet in a new country, that made the start a lot easier.
“The unified inbox has been the standout feature for us, alongside the integrations and ease of setup,” Alex says.

With SunnyCoast HomeStays, the team is bringing what they learned in Orlando to owners and guests on the Costa del Sol. They describe Hostaway as a positive part of that transition, and it’s the platform the business now runs on day to day.
