2023 was a landmark year at Hostaway.! With a record-breaking $175 million investment and an expanded global team, we've reinforced our position as the go-to solution for vacation rental management.

Here's a look at our top product releases in 2023:

• 250+ customer-facing releases

We fired a salvo of features to streamline your operations and enrich the user experience. That’s almost five per week.

• Introduction of Hostaway Smart Locks

Our smart locks product allows you to remotely access, control and manage all of your smart locks from the Hostaway dashboard so you can provide your guests with stress-free check-in.

• ChatGPT integration

Once again we led the way in the vacation rental industry by being the first to incorporate ChatGPT into our software. Our free ChatGPT integration significantly enhances guest communication and support and is already being used in 25% of all inbox messages.

• Tripled calendar performance

A plethora of enhancements to our calendar functionality delivered an improvement of 3x, ensuring swift and effective booking management.

• Revamped mobile app

Having undergone a full overhaul, the new Hostaway mobile app is more user-friendly and powerful, perfect for managing properties on the move.

• Online check-in form & customizable rental agreement

Online check-in forms made guest data collection easier. Together with tailored rental agreements, guest management through Hostaway was further streamlined.

• Triple crown achievement

Achieving top partnership status with Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com, Hostaway stands as the only PMS and channel manager to hold the ‘triple crown’ – a testament to our unmatched OTA integration.

• Google Vacation Rentals integration

We integrated with Google Vacation Rentals which has since grown to become the fourth biggest booking channel for our customers.

• 35 new partner integrations

Expanding our ecosystem even further, we added 35 new integrations across a variety of services, enhancing our short-term rental software’s versatility and functionality.

• Easier financial management

Preparing expenses and payments got even easier in 2023 for Hostaway users who also received refunds management capabilities within the platform itself.

• Enhancement of upsells

Users were able to add pictures, descriptions and videos to enhance their upsells in the Guest Portal.

• Introduction of Customer Success Managers

We launched dedicated Customer Success Managers who go beyond merely offering support for the Hostaway vacation rental software platform to help our customers manage their portfolio of properties successfully.

Hostaway customers can join our weekly Customer Success Office Hours every Thursday or book a call with the team for one-on-one time.

• Multiple direct booking sites

We enabled multiple independent direct booking engines in our direct booking website feature for greater marketing and booking versatility.

2024 Product Roadmap: Elevating Your Property Management Experience

As we look at 2024, our roadmap is packed with exciting developments aimed at making Hostaway the only software you'll ever need for vacation rental management.

Already in January 2024, the Hostaway team has been busy behind the scenes, releasing several enhancements including:

• Direct booking website localization

This new feature will allow your guests to automatically translate your Hostaway direct booking website into their preferred language. Already available in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, more languages will be added throughout the year.

• Formulas Wizard

With the new Formulas Wizard, Hostaway users can set up their key financial formulas including total price, rental revenue, total payout, owner payouts and property manager payouts easily, for each listing or globally.

• Automated Vrbo reviews

Import your Vrbo reviews alongside those from Airbnb for easy viewing and guest rating. You can also make your favorite reviews viewable across your direct booking website, Google Vacation Rentals listing and wherever you’re connected to the Hostaway Public API.

With 11 more months to go, there’s a lot more to expect from Hostaway in 2024. Here is a sneak peak of our product roadmap for 2024.

• Quickbooks integration

With our Quickbooks integration, Hostaway users won’t have to rely on Zapier to connect the tool to our platform anymore, enabling easier and further streamlining of accounting processes.

• Mobile app localization

By allowing users to translate the mobile app into the language of their choice, the Hostaway app will become even more accessible worldwide.

• Airbnb listing issue notification

Be notified immediately with the notification of your choice in the case of an issue with your Airbnb listing.

• Smart locks additions

In response to user requests, Hostaway will soon enable the automated creation of codes using the last four digits of guests’ mobile phone numbers as well as offline codes.

• SEO improvements in direct booking

Hostaway direct booking website users will be able to increase their online visibility even further with enhanced SEO.

• More Permissions Flexibility in Financial Reporting

Improved flexibility in providing access permissions across your financial data and reporting will give you greater control and easier analysis.
