Hostaway API v1 is launched!

What is an API? Our Advanced Programmatic Interface allows our users to access the Hostaway platform through the API. You can use the solid backend of Hostaway and build or integrate any tools you need for your vacation rental management business.

Functions

The API can create, read, edit and delete the following objects:

• Listings
• Amenities, property types
• Calendar availability and rates
• Reservations

Use Cases

Many of our clients have their own websites or platforms that allows their stakeholders such as cleaners, property owners, employees or guests to communicate and access information. Here are a few cases where the API is useful.

Managing cleaners

One of our clients has built their own platform for scheduling cleaning tasks. They use our API to retrieve reservation details and updates to existing reservations.

Owner reporting

One of our clients has built a platform where the property owners can log in and schedule stays, view financial information and communicate with the managers. The API is used to create direct reservations, retrieve payment data and access reservations and the calendar.

Access

You can access the API by retrieving your Secret API Key under Settings - Integrations - API.
