When you have created a new account for Hostaway we will ask you if you like to import your current listings to your new account. After you have imported the listings from Airbnb it will also be directly connected by the channel manager software and reacts as your first sales channel.
Connect with your Airbnb login
In order to connect any Airbnb account you need to have access to the Airbnb email address and password used. If you don’t have a Airbnb password yet, because you login by FaceBook for example, you can request one by the “forgot password option” at Airbnb.com/forgot_password.
When you have your Airbnb email address and password you can use it to make your connection in the Hostaway dashboard. It is possible that Airbnb send you a email asking if the login from a new location is done by you or if you like to change your password. You can ignore these emails as this is your new Hostaway account who logs in remotely.
During the first activation we download the list of existing properties from your account. When this is imported you see the overview of listings and we will ask you what you like to do with it.
Importing and mapping your listings
When you have your list of Airbnb names you are able to import them one by one or all at the same time. During the import it will download a copy of the listing, it’s images, descriptions, amenities, reservations, calendar with the open and closed days, your rates per day and the minimum stay’s. All together a lot of information so it may take some time before the import is completed. We strongly advise you to give the system the time to download it for you.
When the listings are imported they will be your new Hostaway listings. In the same window you will see that the listings on Airbnb are mapped to the same listings in Hostaway.
For existing listings in Hostaway
If you already have the Airbnb listings created manually in Hostaway or if you have disconnected before and like to reconnect, you only need to map the Airbnb listings to the internal Hostaway listings.
When your importing and mapping is completed you will find your new listings in under the listings menu, You will find the Airbnb reservations in the reservation menu and are able to see your current Airbnb calendar import in the calendar menu.

Only first time full calendar import
Hostaway is only importing the Airbnb calendar the first time you import the listing. After this you need to use the Hostaway calendar as your main calendar to open and close days, update rates and minimum stay. Manually made changes in the Airbnb calendar after connection will not be imported.
Airbnb smart pricing / dynamic pricing
When you use Airbnb smart pricing or services like beyond pricing, pricelabs to get daily updated rates in Airbnb. Hostaway can offer you a once per 24 hours import of your Airbnb rates. Go to settings – Dynamic pricing and activate the listings you like to use it for. Remember every 24 hours your daily rate will be updated based on Airbnb rates and synced with other connected channels.
Changing Airbnb passwords
From time to time it is possible that Airbnb ask you if you like to change your password. If you really need to change your Airbnb password we strongly advice you to first, deactivate Airbnb in your Hostaway account. Then request the new password on Airbnb.com. When you have a new password gently reconnect in Hostaway settings – channels menu. If you get a wrong password warning, please wait at least a hour before trying again. To many attempts to connect may result in a blocked account that can’t be connected for weeks or sometimes permanently.
